Privacy policy.

Your goals, your world, your information. Here’s how Life Game handles it.

This policy covers the Life Game website at lifegame.tech and the Life Game app, including its current beta. Life Game is responsible for the information described here. For questions or privacy requests, contact hello@lifegame.tech.

What we collect and why

Player 2 and optional AI features

Player 2 uses OpenAI to respond to messages and help with tasks. Requests can include your message, conversation context, relevant tasks and goals, task history, enabled memory, and your timezone. Automatic task categorization sends the task information needed to suggest a category. Optional milestone review sends the images, criteria and explanation you submit.

Where photo-based character or room generation is available, selected references and generation instructions may be processed by OpenAI, and content needed to create or animate 3D assets may be processed by Meshy. These features are optional and run through our hosted generation service.

We send this information to provide the feature you use. We do not use your private content to train our own general-purpose AI models. Provider processing and retention are governed by their applicable service terms; using AI does not mean that provider records are immediately deleted. Avoid including passwords or other secrets in chats or uploads.

Choosing Continue on the name step during onboarding confirms agreement to the Terms, acknowledgement of this Privacy Policy and permission for the AI processing described above, including processing by OpenAI and Meshy. If you decline, you cannot enter the app. Photo uploads remain optional: selecting photos and choosing Create my world requests that generation, without a second agreement toggle. If setup is not finished, the app queues the photos locally until sign-in and agreement are complete. You can use the starter character and room without uploading photos. Contact us for permission or data requests; stopping use or changing a choice does not recall information already sent or cancel work already submitted.

You can review, edit, forget or disable Player 2 memory in the app. Forgetting a memory does not also erase the original conversation or information already sent for processing.

What other players can see

Friends uses your chosen display name and username. Accepted friends can visit your shared Realm and avatar and see building stages and your level. Room sharing and general activity sharing are optional and off by default.

Your private task names, goal details, notes, chats, memory and milestone evidence are not included in the Friends world snapshot. You can remove or block friends and turn off optional sharing. These changes restrict future access, but cannot recall information someone has already seen or saved.

Services that help us run Life Game

We use Supabase for account authentication, cloud progress and shared Friends data; AWS for the hosted app API and server backups; and Netlify for the website. OpenAI and, for supported 3D features, Meshy process the content described above. Google processes Google sign-in. Resend delivers email sign-in codes and processes the destination address and email delivery information. Apple processes Apple sign-in when available.

We share information with these services as needed to operate Life Game. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to investigate abuse and protect users or the service.

Information may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Our providers’ own policies also describe their handling of information: Supabase, AWS, Netlify, OpenAI, Meshy, Google, Apple, and Resend.

Storage and retention

Onboarding starts locally. After sign-in, tasks, goals, conversations, memory and progress are backed up to your account. Selected reference photos, setup records and generated 3D files are stored separately by our AWS generation service; they are not included in the progress backup. Your device also keeps downloaded copies. Removing a setup requests deletion of its uploaded photos and setup files from the generation service. Friends sharing can upload the generated assets needed for a visit; it does not upload your original reference photos.

We retain account information and saved progress while needed to provide your account, and operational records as needed for reliability, security and legal obligations. AI request caches and server backups may retain copies after you remove an item in the app. Deleting an item locally does not immediately erase every backup or provider record.

We retain purchase and allowance records for as long as needed to verify subscriptions, resolve billing issues, prevent reuse of purchases or trial allowances, and meet legal obligations, including when necessary after account deletion. Some of these records use hashed account identifiers; this does not make them anonymous.

We use encrypted network connections, account access controls and protected server credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security. Signing out preserves local account files; it does not delete your account or its cloud backup.

Your choices and requests

You can edit your tasks and goals, manage memory, change Friends sharing, and control notification permission through your device settings. Reminders are currently scheduled on your device.

To request a copy, correction or deletion of your personal information or account, email hello@lifegame.tech. You can also request deletion in the app under Settings → Account & sign-in → Delete account. This removes your account and associated progress, conversations, worlds and Friends profile through our deletion process. Signing out or uninstalling the app does not request deletion. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request. Any information that must be retained for security or legal reasons, and any remaining backup retention, will be addressed when handling your request.

Deleting your Life Game account does not cancel your Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings.

You can also revoke Life Game’s Google access in your Google Account settings. Revoking access does not itself delete your Life Game account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to your local data protection authority.
